Taylor Swift wasn’t going to miss this one.
The music superstar arrived at Arrowhead Stadium for Sunday’s showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals to support her boyfriend, Travis Kelce
Swift has become a regular at Chiefs games since she started dating Kelce, and it is no surprise to see she is at the clash between presumed AFC contenders that will feature no shortage of star power with Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase and others.
Kansas City and Cincinnati have developed a rivalry of late with two of the best signal-callers under center.
The two teams faced each other in the AFC Championship Game in January 2022 and again in January 2023 with the Bengals winning the first one and the Chiefs winning the second one. There has also been no shortage of trash talk between the two sides, and this year’s matchup has been no different.
Chase told reporters the Bengals are the “team to beat in the AFC” even though the Chiefs are going for an unprecedented third Super Bowl title in a row, and Cincinnati defensive back Cam Taylor-Britt called out rookie Xavier Worthy.
Poking the bear that is the Chiefs is certainly a choice, and it could come back to haunt the Bengals.
If it does, Swift will be there to watch it in person.
