Swift and Kelce were seen at the Yankees vs. Guardians game in the Bronx on Monday.
Kelce experienced a rollercoaster of emotions during his recent date with Taylor Swift, attending the Yankees vs. Guardians game at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx.
Although the evening was filled with fun moments alongside Swift, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 35, couldn’t ignore the disappointment of seeing his favorite team, the Cleveland Guardians, fall to the New York Yankees.
On his “New Heights” podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce, Travis shared his thoughts about the outing.
“It was a mix of emotions because I was there trying to enjoy the night with Taylor and all our friends. We had a great group with us, and it was a fun time,” he said.
Balancing fun and loyalty as a Guardians fan
Despite the enjoyable atmosphere, Kelce admitted that watching his hometown team lose 5-2 was tough.
“Even though the Guardians couldn’t get the win, it was still an exciting game,” he remarked. “I’ve always wanted to see Yankee Stadium up close, especially during a playoff game, and it definitely lived up to the hype.”
The tight end made it clear where his loyalties lie, adding, “It’s the Bronx, it’s Yankee Stadium, and I’m in enemy territory cheering for the Guardians. I’m a Cleveland guy, and I want to see Cleveland win a World Series so bad.”
A date night to remember
While the game’s outcome wasn’t what he hoped for, Kelce enjoyed the night out with Swift. The pair kept things low-key at the stadium, but fans couldn’t help but notice their affectionate moments. Swift even playfully fed Kelce popcorn during the game, adding to the charm of the evening.
Both kept their attire casual – Swift opted for a cozy brown sweater paired with a black mini skirt and a baseball cap, while Kelce wore a bomber jacket and a Midnight Rodeo hat. The low-profile looks didn’t stop the buzz, though, as the couple’s appearance in the VIP box turned heads.
Their baseball outing followed a series of date nights in New York City, including a romantic dinner at Torrisi and a gathering with friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds in Soho.
Even with the Guardians’ loss, it’s clear that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are enjoying their time together, whether it’s on the sidelines or out in the city.
