News dropped on Thursday morning that Taylor Swift will be in attendance to watch boyfriend Travis Kelce catch passes against the Baltimore Ravens. Swift was a prominent figure in the Chiefs’ Super Bowl run last season, and fans will hope she can be that good luck charm once again. But according to Chiefs players like Patrick Mahomes, her impact goes way beyond what they could have ever imagined.

Chiefs coaches and players were asked about Swift’s influence since she began dating Kelce, and Mahomes gave an eye-opening answer.

I think the biggest thing that I noticed during the season was just that the kids that were becoming more and more fans. You would see more younger girls that were fans of the Chiefs and wanted to really embrace football, and I thought that was cool to see… It definitely expanded our fan base, but I think it was all for the better and I’m glad to be a part of it.

All-Pro Chris Jones and head coach Andy Reid were also full of praise for Swift and the droves of fans she brought in for the team. While “Swifties” may have a negative connotation to some, it’s clear the Chiefs love the revolution Swift started for the franchise.
